Welcome

Are you experiencing difficulties with your mental health and feel you would benefit from the support of therapy, to help you overcome your problems and reach your goals? Our mental health is extremely important but can also be frequently over looked due to the pressures of daily life. I am passionate about helping people overcome their problems in a warm and empathetic way and want to make sure you feel listened to and supported in your therapy journey. At Healthy Thinking CBT, I aim to do this using an evidence based psychological therapy called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that has been proven to help treat a wide range of mental health difficulties in children, young people and adults. It is an evidence based therapy and is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). CBT looks at the interaction between our thoughts, behaviours, emotions and physical sensations and identifies the links that may be maintaining the difficulties you are experiencing. Within therapy we work together to understand how we can break these links, by equipping you with strategies to challenge the thoughts and behaviours, and empower you to face future challenges and improve your own wellbeing.

Some of the difficulties you may be experiencing and can be supported with include:

  • Generalised anxiety
  • Social anxiety
  • Specific phobias
  • Panic
  • Depression
  • PTSD
  • OCD
  • Health anxiety
  • Low self-esteem
  • Grief
  • Stress
